For My Yoke Is Easy

And My Burden Is Light

Happy Lord's Sabbath!

His Commandments Are Not Grievous

Beloved,

Come unto Christ, and take His yoke upon you. The Lord Himself said, "For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light." The way of the Lord is not a weariness; it is rest for the soul. Keeping the ten commandments is the way to walk, for "his commandments are not grievous." Walk in His ways, and you shall find rest.

πŸ“– His Commandments Are Not Grievous

πŸ“– Matthew 11:28-30 (KJV)

"Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light."

πŸ“– 1 John 5:3 (KJV)

"For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous."

πŸ“– Ecclesiastes 12:13 (KJV)

"Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man."

πŸ“– Deuteronomy 10:12-13 (KJV)

"And now, Israel, what doth the LORD thy God require of thee, but to fear the LORD thy God, to walk in all his ways, and to love him, and to serve the LORD thy God with all thy heart and with all thy soul, To keep the commandments of the LORD, and his statutes, which I command thee this day for thy good?"

πŸ“– 1 John 2:3-6 (KJV)

"And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments. He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. But whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in him. He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked."

πŸ“– John 14:15 (KJV)

"If ye love me, keep my commandments."

πŸ“– Revelation 22:14 (KJV)

"Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city."

πŸ“– Say Not That the Way of the Lord Is Not Equal

πŸ“– Ezekiel 18:29-32 (KJV)

"Yet saith the house of Israel, The way of the Lord is not equal. O house of Israel, are not my ways equal? are not your ways unequal? Therefore I will judge you, O house of Israel, every one according to his ways, saith the Lord GOD. Repent, and turn yourselves from all your transgressions; so iniquity shall not be your ruin. Cast away from you all your transgressions, whereby ye have transgressed; and make you a new heart and a new spirit: for why will ye die, O house of Israel? For I have no pleasure in the death of him that dieth, saith the Lord GOD: wherefore turn yourselves, and live ye."

Beloved, the Lord rebukes those who say His way is not equal β€” it is our own ways that are unequal. Do not charge God's commandments as a burden or unjust. Repent, turn from your transgressions, and keep the ten commandments; for He takes no pleasure in the death of him that dieth, but wills that you turn and live.

πŸ“– Forget Not My Law

πŸ“– Proverbs 3:1-2 (KJV)

"My son, forget not my law; but let thine heart keep my commandments: For length of days, and long life, and peace, shall they add to thee."

πŸ“– Matthew 11:30 (KJV) β€” Remember It

"For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light."

Beloved, the way of the Lord is not a burden. His commandments are not grievous. Take His yoke upon you, walk even as He walked, and keep the ten commandments β€” for in them is rest, life, and the love of God perfected.
