Healing, Help Thou Mine Unbelief

According to Your Faith Be It unto You

Happy Lord's Sabbath!

Believe, and Doubt Not

Beloved,

The Lord Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever. He healed the sick, opened the eyes of the blind, and raised the dead β€” and He is not limited by time or distance. His power to heal has never diminished. What He asks of us is faith: that we believe He is able, and that we trust His perfect will in the answer.

πŸ“– Heal Me, and I Shall Be Healed

πŸ“– Jeremiah 17:14 (KJV)

"Heal me, O LORD, and I shall be healed; save me, and I shall be saved: for thou art my praise."

πŸ“– Psalm 107:20 (KJV)

"He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions."

πŸ“– Matthew 9:27-30 (KJV) β€” Two Blind Men

"And when Jesus departed thence, two blind men followed him, crying, and saying, Thou Son of David, have mercy on us. And when he was come into the house, the blind men came to him: and Jesus saith unto them, Believe ye that I am able to do this? They said unto him, Yea, Lord. Then touched he their eyes, saying, According to your faith be it unto you. And their eyes were opened."

πŸ“– Matthew 8:10,13 (KJV) β€” The Centurion's Servant

"When Jesus heard it, he marvelled, and said to them that followed, Verily I say unto you, I have not found so great faith, no, not in Israel. And Jesus said unto the centurion, Go thy way; and as thou hast believed, so be it done unto thee. And his servant was healed in the selfsame hour."

πŸ“– Luke 8:41-42, 49-55 (KJV) β€” Jairus' Daughter

"And, behold, there came a man named Jairus, and he was a ruler of the synagogue: and he fell down at Jesus' feet, and besought him that he would come into his house: For he had one only daughter, about twelve years of age, and she lay a dying. But as he went the people thronged him. While he yet spake, there cometh one from the ruler of the synagogue's house, saying to him, Thy daughter is dead; trouble not the Master. But when Jesus heard it, he answered him, saying, Fear not: believe only, and she shall be made whole. And when he came into the house, he suffered no man to go in, save Peter, and James, and John, and the father and the mother of the maiden. And all wept, and bewailed her: but he said, Weep not; she is not dead, but sleepeth. And they laughed him to scorn, knowing that she was dead. And he put them all out, and took her by the hand, and called, saying, Maid, arise. And her spirit came again, and she arose straightway: and he commanded to give her meat."

Beloved, look at the pattern. Before He moved in power, Jesus asked the question of faith: Believe ye that I am able to do this? To the centurion He said, as thou hast believed, so be it done unto thee. And to Jairus, Fear not: believe only, and she shall be made whole. Faith came first, and the healing followed. Be it according to your faith.

πŸ“– According to Your Faith

πŸ“– Mark 5:34 (KJV)

"And he said unto her, Daughter, thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace, and be whole of thy plague."

πŸ“– James 5:15 (KJV)

"And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him."

Beloved, Jesus did not heal because of a formula β€” He healed because of faith. He said, According to your faith be it unto you. Yet our faith is never a demand placed upon God; it is trust in His perfect will. He is able to heal, and He is able to keep you in the trial. Ask believing, and leave the answer in His hands.

πŸ“– Lord, I Believe β€” Help Thou Mine Unbelief

πŸ“– Mark 9:23-24 (KJV)

"Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth. And straightway the father of the child cried out, and said with tears, Lord, I believe; help thou mine unbelief."

Here is the honesty of faith: a father who believed and still asked for help with his unbelief. Beloved, if your faith feels small, bring it to Christ just as it is. He does not despise a trembling heart β€” He strengthens it.

πŸ“– He Did Not Many Mighty Works There Because of Their Unbelief

πŸ“– Matthew 13:54-58 (KJV)

"And when he was come into his own country, he taught them in their synagogue, insomuch that they were astonished, and said, Whence hath this man this wisdom, and these mighty works? Is not this the carpenter's son? is not his mother called Mary? and his brethren, James, and Joses, and Simon, and Judas? And his sisters, are they not all with us? Whence then hath this man all these things? And they were offended in him. But Jesus said unto them, A prophet is not without honour, save in his own country, and in his own house. And he did not many mighty works there because of their unbelief."

πŸ“– Mark 6:5-6 (KJV)

"And he could there do no mighty work, save that he laid his hands upon a few sick folk, and healed them. And he marvelled because of their unbelief. And he went round about the villages, teaching."

In His own country, among those who knew Him only as the carpenter's son, Jesus did not do many mighty works β€” because of their unbelief. Their familiarity bred doubt, and doubt shut the door on what He was willing to do. Beloved, unbelief is the one thing that limits what we receive from His open hand. Do not let familiarity, fear, or the opinions of men rob you of what God is able to do.

πŸ“– Let Your Requests Be Made Known unto God

πŸ“– Philippians 4:4-7 (KJV)

"Rejoice in the Lord alway: and again I say, Rejoice. Let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand. Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus."

πŸ“– James 1:5-8 (KJV)

"If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him. But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed. For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord. A double minded man is unstable in all his ways."

Beloved, take your request to God. Be careful for nothing β€” cast your care upon Him, and let your requests be made known with thanksgiving. And when you ask, ask in faith, nothing wavering. Do not doubt, for a double minded man is unstable in all his ways. Ask believing, trusting the answer to His perfect will.

πŸ“– Hast Thou Not Heard? They That Wait upon the LORD

πŸ“– Isaiah 40:28-31 (KJV)

"Hast thou not known? hast thou not heard, that the everlasting God, the LORD, the Creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is weary? there is no searching of his understanding. He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength. Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall: But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint."

πŸ“– Mark 9:23 (KJV)

"Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth."

Beloved, you have not seen Him, yet you have heard β€” the everlasting God fainteth not, neither is weary, and He giveth power to the faint. Wait upon the LORD, and He shall renew your strength. And when your faith feels weak, remember His word: If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth. Believe, and doubt not.

πŸ“– Jeremiah 17:14 (KJV) β€” Remember It

"Heal me, O LORD, and I shall be healed; save me, and I shall be saved: for thou art my praise."

Beloved, Jesus is able to heal you β€” according to your faith, and according to His perfect will. He sent His word and healed them. Wait upon the LORD, and He shall renew your strength; believe, and doubt not, for all things are possible to him that believeth. Bring Him your request, and let His peace keep your heart.
